Hudson Valley Dance Studio has hand selected a group of professional dancers to represent the studio and pass on their years of experience to the next generation of young dancers.

Jennifer Hersh:
Studio Director/Creative Movement and all Ballet classes

Jennifer Hersh began her dance training locally at the age of 5 at the Westchester Ballet Center under the direction of Rose Marie Menes. She studied dance for over 12 years with Westchester Ballet Center. In 1996 she majored in Dance at the University of Arizona. Later she received her professional training at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center (The Ailey School) in New York City. Jen then danced with the California Ballet in San Diego, CA.. Turning her direction toward teaching, she began studying with Stephan Wenta in Los Angeles, CA. In 2001 Jennifer returned to New York and performed locally with the Dance Theatre in Westchester. Soon after Jennifer began teaching in Peekskill and Garrison, NY. In 2005, Jen opened the doors to Hudson Valley Dance Studio to enhance the performing arts in Cold Spring and the surrounding areas.

Katie Bissinger:

Katie has been teaching dance for over 15 years at many area studios. Katie has an extensive musical theatre background. She has performed in may tours including: "42nd Street", The Who's "Tommy" and regionally in "A Chorus Line" and "Chicago" as well as "Funny Girl" (Westchester Broadway Dinner Theater) and "Westside Story" (Tarrytown Music Hall). She was a Radio City Rockette in "The Christmas Spectacular" for the past three years. Katie was also the director/choreographer at Stagedoor Manor, the renowned musical theater camp in the Catskills.

Katie's Strength lies in her ability to teach, and she wants her students at HVDS to discover a love for dance and enhance their self- confidence.
