Class Descriptions: Dance with me, Baby! A movement class for toddlers and their caregivers. Each class introduces a different theme that will stimulate your child's mind through both song and dance. Join us to clap, sing and stretch, follow the leader, freeze dance and boogie with new friends.
A theatrical performance class for pre- schoolers. Children will sing, dance, and act while learning the basics of ballet tap and jazz.
Pre-Ballet With dance games including costumes and props, this class helps students make a smooth transition from a playful creative type of class to a more structured traditional Ballet class. Students are taught basic steps and vocabulary, as well as classroom etiquette.
This is the first step towards a formal Ballet class. With a barre warm- up and center work, students work on balance, flexibility and muscle control. Ballet Requiring more focus and discipline, students learn more advanced steps and refine previously learned skills. Students also have the chance to explore their own creativity through original choreography and improvisation. Beginner Tap A basic class which emphasizes hearing rhythms in music and learning the fundamental vocabulary of tap dance. Advanced Beginner Tap A greater focus on individual sound and building up a larger vocabulary of steps.
Intermediate Tap Students will learn more intricate rhythms while refining their technique. Emphasis on matching sounds with other dancers and exploring other tap styles. Musical Theatre/ Jazz An introductory class for 5-7 year olds. Emphasis will be on building flexibility and strength as well as interpreting music through dance, acting and song. Musical Theatre/ Jazz Will focus on building their athleticism as dancers and discover various theatrical dance including Latin, Lyrical, Contemporary Jazz and the Fosse style Musical Theatre/ Jazz Students will explore the style of classic Broadway choreography while solidifying their technique and examining dance as theatrical storytelling.
